The Deep Dive

Admit it.  You’ve tried them all.  Strengthsfinder, Myers-Briggs, DISC, Caliper.  If your organization is like most, these tools quickly find their way to the shelf, no longer being implemented or accessed.  The truth is, most development tools are descriptive in nature - telling us who we are and how we function.  This is good information for sure. But when you reach the end of its usefulness, your tool of choice will be replaced with another.

The truth is that there is no magic bullet in leadership development.  Growing in leadership is hard work that requires an honest look not only at who we are and how we function, but at the impact we have on the people around us. Doing this requires that leaders develop an awareness of their motivations and triggers and perhaps most importantly, develop tools for adjusting their approach to their circumstances in order to get their desired results. And you want that change to last.
