Just A Little Light

There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
— Nelson Mandela

One of the biggest challenges for all of us is the discovery of what we are truly capable of living.  We spend our lives adhering to social convention and expectation.  Our lives consist of a series of small choices that at the time we made them, may have seemed nearly insignificant.  Until, that is, we wake up one day and realize we want more.

Maybe we even wake up one day and decide we actually deserve more.

All those little decisions, most of which I think are made for the sake of keeping the peace or an unwillingness to admit we may have made a mistake, add up to a life.

I have spent the past two years reflecting on how my life was adding up.  The list of what I discovered could easily take this entire blog post but I'll spare you.  The summation was clear enough.  I had fallen into the trap of not doing what I love, not living my passion, because I had let life get in the way.  When faced with choices between that which would light up my soul and that which would offer certainty, I too often chose the latter.  It took some careful, intentional steps to get back on track but now I am crystal clear, inspired, excited, and on a mission!

In short, I'm back - back to coaching and consulting through my business Black Pearl Coaching; back to connecting with other like-minded seekers around significant ideas on Facebook; using my gifts to inspire lives of deeper meaning and abundance; trying to add a little truth, light, beauty and redeemable content into the world.

I hope you will join me.
